It's been 2 weeks since you identified and fixed the problem causing my check engine light to come on and I feel confident that you nailed the problem. This after a year of visiting so-called mechanics who, using a trial and error approach, replaced various components, none of which was the culprit.
I am truly impressed with your expertise and the high quality work that you do. You have made a customer for life and I intend to spread the word to my friends and neighbors. It's worth the trip from San Diego to Rancho Bernardo to know that things are done right!

Find exacting, precise & wonderful work and superb service at Secor's. I lived in San Diego from 1979 to 1985 and found myself in town over Memorial Day weekend this year with major performance issues that would have prevented me from getting home to northern California. I put in calls to 4 auto repair shops over the weekend and Joe was the first to call me, so he got the job. He did a great job diagnosing and repairing as much as necessary and that I had time for.. Joe also did a good job of explaining the problems, the actions taken, and furture work that might be necessary at home. If I am ever in need of a mechanic in the area, this is where I will go even if I am in Chula Vista or even further away--it is worth the drive. And certainly if I were to move back to the area, this is where I would go. Honest, reliable & fair.....someone you can trust!
